This past Tuesday, Cupertino’s tech giant, Apple announced that not only 1 but 2 new iPhones would be on the market within the next couple weeks. Yesterday, I shared with you the much anticipated 5C also known as the “budget” iPhone. Today, I want to talk about the 5S – the newest generation of the iPhone we all know and love.
The 5S comes in not 2 but 3 colors – space grey, white and the much talked about gold. As for looks, it is the same size and has the same aluminum body as its predecessor, however, the home button now has a “fancy” ring around it and not the square etched box. This ring does serve a useful purpose, it is where you can find the Touch ID sensor with “360-degree readability.” User(s) can now bypass the passcode by holding their finger down. The 5S can store up to 5 different fingerprints which will give parents, children and significant others the access the want
As for performance, the 5S will come with the A7 processor which has a 64-bit chip. This upgrade is expected to make the 5S two times faster than the 5 and 40 times faster than the original iPhone. The battery life will be capable of 10 hours of talk time, 10 hours of LTE browsing and 250 hours standby.
The 5S comes with an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED (white and amber) flash camera with a larger aperture and sensor.
You will be able to checkout or purchase 5S on September 20th for the same price as the other iPhones (besides the new 5C) starting at $199 for a two-year contract. $650 for the 16GB unlocked.
Let us know what you think about the 5S in the comments below. Are you planning on upgrading?
